Glittering Easter Eggs and Baskets
This is another Easter craft we made today. It has 2 parts, the basket and the eggs. I think this craft is quite common. We did this last year too.
Part I: THE BASKET
- Paper Cup
- 1 strip of Cardboard paper, 20cm x 3 cm
- Crepe papers
- 2 Fasteners
How to do it:
- Punch 2 holes on the ends of the cardboard strip.
- Punch 2 holes on the opposite side of the paper cup.
- Use the fasteners to hold the cardboard strip to the cup, thru the hole.
- Cut crepe paper into thin strips.
- Stuff the cup using the crepe paper. That is to cushion the egg later.
Note:
You can colour the cup and handle if you want but my son is too lazy to do it. He just colour the handle (cardboard strip) and left the cup as it is.
Part II: THE EGG
When we did this last year, we painted the eggs. Since my son is older and can handle glitters better we will be using that to decorate the eggs instead of painting it.
- Egg
- Glue
- Glitters
How to do it:
- To remove eggs from shell, gentle make a hole on the top and bottom of shells.
- Blow on one end and the egg will be push out from the other end.
- Don't waste the egg! Try using them to make Nori Egg Roll with Carrot and Spring Onion.
- Make sure you rinse the inside of the egg.
- Pour some glitters on a paper plate.
- Put glue all over the egg.
- Row the egg over the glitters to let the glitters stick to the glue.
- Set aside to dry.
- When it's dried, put it in the paper cup basket to rest on the nice cushion of crepe paper!
Have fun!
