Fun at the Fire Station

Joanne invited us to join her and her twins for a visit to the Bukit Batok Fire Station last Saturday.

The Fire Department in Singapore is know as Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). We don't get to see Fire-fighters in red anymore. They are all in dark blues! We saw a whole range of fire engines there. Like the Pumper-Ladder (PL) which I think is the commonly seen Fire Engine. There's the Combined Pumper-Ladder (CPL), which has a hydraulic ladder-platform attached to it, used to reached high rise fire. The kids had a chance to ride on it.

妹妹 cried through out the time her brother was on it. She must have thought he was leaving her. She stopped when her brother came back down to comfort her. Ai yo! Separation anxiety ah?! 妈妈 with you leh. Cannot also ah?

I think one of the favourite part for the kids was to be able to play with water! They could stopping 'playing' with the Water Mist Gun and the Water Hose! Giant Water Guns! They had two rounds with them! Wah! Lots of water wasted!

I'm not sure about the twins but all 哥哥 could remember was the water hose, the gun and the ride on the CPL. He did have fun but I couldn't say the same for 妹妹 who clung to me like a Koala most of the time. Maybe we will visit again when 妹妹 is older.
