Cardboard Christmas Tree
While buying fruits, 哥哥 saw these cardboards (and a polyfoam fruit tray which I'm planning to make flowers) from the fruits cartons. He went to ask the uncle if he could have them and bought them to me, saying we can do crafts using them. Ai yo! 妈妈– big garang guni, 哥哥– small garang guni. Okay, okay, we shall use them to do a small Chirstmas tree.
Materials needed:
- 2 pieces of cardboards (those from carton boxes)
- Brown Crepe paper
- Green Cellophane
- Craft Glue
- Additional crepe paper strips for decorations
How to do it:
- Adult cut out the shape of a Christmas tree for both cardboards.
- Cut a slit for both cardboards, one from the top, the other from the bottom ending in the middle.
- Put glue on one side of the cardboard.
- Stick green cellophane all over except for the truck and ‘legs’. (We did not stick them flat so to give it some ‘body’.)
- Repeat for the other side and for the other cardboard too.
- Use brown crepe paper to wrap the truck and legs.
- Put aside to dry.
- Slide the 2 pieces of cardboard together and you now have your Christmas tree!
You can now decorate the tree. 哥哥 hanged the star we made 2 weeks ago as decorations too! The only thing missing is presents under the tree!
