Wind Detactor

Last Saturday, we made this Wind Detactor before 哥哥’s bedtime. He was pestering me to do craft work and I wanted a fast craft. So here it is.

Materials needed:

  • Colourful cellophane
  • 3 x 30 cm strips of cardboard (2 strips make 1 ball) - or any size as long as they are the same
  • 1 long stick (I use those plastic stick on balloons)
  • Needle and thread
  • Glue

How to do it:

  1. Cut out pieces of cellophane and stick it to the strips of cardboard.
  2. 1 design 2 strips or your child maybe want different design on each strip!
  3. Stick 2 ends of the cardboard together to form a circle.
  4. Stick 2 circles together forming a ‘X’ on the top and bottom and you have your ball.
  5. Mommy poke thru the top middle of the ‘X’ using needle and thread.
  6. Tie the end of the thread to the stick.

Hang it near the window, fan or air-con to see it turn! I got to think of another craft idea for 哥哥 today. It’s Saturday – Craft Day!
